Sunday October 30, 2011

Good Morning! I hope that this finds you well on this beautiful fall day. I love the fall, it's such a wonderful time of the year with so many fun things to do. It also ushers in the holiday's! What do you love the most about fall?

This Sunday I will be preaching on obsession...with God. We often think about being obsessed as a bad thing...but is it always? Come Sunday and find out!

I also hope to see you Monday at our Trunks of Treats event. It is a safe place to bring children on Halloween: we'll have lots of candy, donuts, coffee, cider and more!

Sunday October 23, 2011

Good afternoon! What a beautiful fall day we have today - the weather is cool but the sun is shining. The leaves are beautiful. I hope that you are finding enjoyment in this wonderful day.

This Sunday we will be hearing from Tom Arnold. He will be continuing in the Crazy Love series and talking about what comes after the acknowledgment of love. Read 1 John 2:3-6 and 1 john 3:16-20 in preparation.

Our trunks-of-treats event in only two weeks away, be sure to sign up at the church so that we know how to prepare.

You are loved!

Sunday October 16, 2011

Greetings! The last few weeks have been a blur of activity for me with conferences, the Elders retreat and two weddings.

On October 2, we watched the sermon from Jim Cymbala called "My House Shall Be Called a House of Prayer." If you missed it, I have the DVD and you are welcome to borrow it from the church library.

Last week we heard a powerful message from Brian Smith about being lukewarm when God calls us to be totally committed. You can always go to our church website to hear any messages that you might have missed.

In continuing our series on Crazy Love, which goes along with our IOU group study, this week I will be preaching about the love that moves us to total commitment and the freedom of that love. Check out Galatians 5:13-14 and Psalm 63:1-5.

Please remember that you are loved!
Pastor Shannon
