Sunday February 2, 2014

This week is February...wait, February already!? My goodness how time flies!

God is doing something new...the Bible tells us this. We have heard about becoming a New Creation and the New Covenant, this week we we will hear about the New Heaven and the New Earth.  Read Revelation 21:1-8 in preparation for Sunday's sermon.

This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday, support your favorite team in the Sunday morning service.  I know they lost, but I'll still be wearing my 49ers jersey! Sunday evening we will meet at the Pandrea's for a fun night of football and food!

You are loved!

Sunday January 26, 2014

Hi! It's cold and snowy but today I am thankful for the space heater that lives under my desk! I hope that you are finding a way to stay warm.

On Sunday I preached about becoming a New Creation...this week I will preach about the New Covenant - when Jesus was in the upper room with the disciples he spoke of the New Covenant, but what is it? What does it mean? Come Sunday as I preach about the New Covenant in Jesus' blood. Read 1 Corinthians 11:23-34 in preparation.  We will also take the Lord's Supper together.

Remember THIS Wednesday at 7pm is our Annual Meeting,  please come!

Sunday January 19, 2014

Hello! I hope that all is well and that you are enjoying this break in the snow and cold!

On Sunday we heard from Brian Smith about how God makes all things new.  This Sunday I am going to start a series on Sacrifices.  What are the things that we have to sacrifice to God? What does sacrifice mean? We are going to start by talking about "self." Read 2 Corinthians 5: 11-21.  We must sacrifice our old self to God to become a new creation.  Why must we do this? Why would we do this? Come Sunday as we discuss it!

I am praying for each one of you,
Pastor Shannon

Welcome to the New Year! 2013 was an amazing year for the church with a lot of great moments and forward movement for the church, I am looking forward to what 2014 has in store for us.

On Sunday I will preach on Epiphany.  We are in the twelve days of Christmas, what does Epiphany mean? Come Sunday and find out! Also, read Matthew 2:1-12 in preparation for Sunday morning.

Blessings as you start the New Year!
